Challenge
Kolektor Sisteh undertook a project in North Macedonia to construct a new water treatment plant adjacent to an existing one. The project involved connecting to the old plant and modifying certain pipelines. The main challenges included manufacturing key equipment such as filtration skids, a dosing system, plastic tanks, a neutralization skid, and connection pipelines. Coordinating multiple contractors without a centralized approach would have led to significant logistical difficulties. Additionally, storing all procured equipment and preparing it for a single export shipment was a major concern. The plant’s capacity was 300 l/s, including two neutralization tanks of 30 m³ each and one buffer tank of 50 m³. We at Tom-Tech successfully addressed all these challenges with an efficient execution approach.
About Kolektor Sisteh
Kolektor Sinabit and Kolektor Synatec merged to strengthen their position as the leading Slovene provid- er of solutions, services and equipment for automation and information flow in industry and economy.
Kolektor Sisteh’s vision is to develop technologically advanced and innovative solutions for a wider interna-tional market, including technological engineering for various branches of industry, energy, buildings and municipal infrastructure. Their sales program further includes electronic and electrical engineering equipment of companies thay represent in Slovenia and abroad, and proper devices and systems for automation and information flow of processes, machines and devices.
Process
We collaborated with Kolektor Sisteh from the project planning phase, providing cost estimates for our scope of work and optimizing project requirements. Upon project approval, we manufactured all key components, including structures, plastic tanks, the dosing system, connection pipelines, and skids for filtration and neutralization. Kolektor supplied additional equipment such as pumps, filters, valves, and measurement technology, which we stored and prepared for transport. Once production was complete, we loaded 17 trucks that transported the equipment to North Macedonia. On-site, we handled the unloading and storage of the equipment until the installation phase. At the facility, we successfully installed and connected all components to the existing water treatment plant, completing the project in record time without any issues.
Result
By taking a comprehensive approach and manufacturing and storing all components in-house, we enabled Kolektor to eliminate logistical challenges, as all parts were delivered and prepared simultaneously. Additionally, we simplified coordination by reducing the need for multiple subcontractors, optimizing project execution. With a smooth and delay-free installation, we helped the client save both time and costs. This project further demonstrates that Tom-Tech can provide end-to-end solutions, from planning to final installation, thereby easing the workload of project managers and optimizing the execution of technological systems.
